Night Owl Group is one of Perth’s leading hospitality operators, overseeing a portfolio of popular venues that attract thousands of guests each week. From bars to nightlife spaces to event venues, each brand under the Night Owl umbrella has its own identity, audience, and creative direction. The group needed a digital partner capable of elevating the content across all venues while also unifying their backend ecosystem to support long-term tracking, data accuracy, and multi-venue marketing.

Problem:

Night Owl faced several challenges across its portfolio:

  • Each venue was creating content, but lacked a consistent visual standard

  • No centralised tracking infrastructure meant data was fragmented across platforms

  • Difficulty attributing results to specific venues or campaigns

  • No unified reporting, making it hard to measure the performance of the group as a whole

VIDEO VFX

For Metro’s Fremantle, we created a high-impact Halloween promo built around a cinematic VFX sequence. The video began as a normal night at the venue a staff member wiping down the bar before the atmosphere shifted and blood began seeping from the walls, dripping from the ceiling and pouring from drains behind the bar. We used motion tracking, fluid simulations, atmospheric overlays, and colour-grade shifts to transform an ordinary scene into a horror-themed set piece.

The result was a scroll-stopping Halloween visual that stood out across social media, amplified anticipation for the event, and positioned Metro’s as one of Perth’s most creative nightlife brands.

3D ANIMATIONS

To elevate Night Owl’s Halloween promotions, we produced custom 3D animations that added a cinematic layer of atmosphere to their campaign assets. These visuals went beyond standard event graphics, incorporating detailed Halloween-themed elements such as floating objects, eerie motion, environmental effects, and stylised transitions designed to match the venue’s branding. The animations were built to integrate seamlessly with their existing promotional videos and social media content, giving each venue a distinctive, high-impact creative edge during one of the most competitive seasons of the year. The result was a suite of immersive, eye-catching animations that amplified audience engagement and brought the Halloween theme to life across all digital platforms.

TRACKING ECOSYSTEM

Night Owl manages several well-known venues, but none of them had a centralised system to accurately track bookings, attribution, or ad performance. Each venue had its own website, its own “Book Now” flow, and separate marketing which meant data was fragmented and impossible to optimise.

We built a full tracking ecosystem that connected all venues into one streamlined, measurable pipeline.

When a user visits a venue website like Breakwater and clicks Book Now, they’re taken to a dedicated booking calendar where they enter their information. From there, the user is redirected into a centralised landing page we built specifically for tracking. This page contains all meta, Google, and URL-based tracking infrastructure.

To make attribution accurate, we implemented:

  • URL query parameters to identify exactly which venue the user came from

  • Custom HTML tagging to capture booking-source data

  • A central tracking hub that pushes the correct event data back into Meta for the specific venue that generated the booking

This means every booking is now accurately linked back to the correct venue, ad, and campaign. Night Owl can finally see what’s working, what isn’t, and where their marketing dollars actually convert all from one unified system.
